SEI Awarded New Projects
SEI was recently awarded two new projects.
First 5 Monterey – Playgroup Consultation
First 5 Monterey contracted with SEI to conduct a project to enhance and expand quality Playgroup services for children ages 0 to 3 in Monterey County, CA. The project entails researching best practice models, developing a playgroup enhancement framework, and providing on-site coaching and technical assistance/training to support implementation of the quality enhancement strategies in the Playgroups.
First 5 San Bernardino – Sustainability Planning
SEI was recently selected by First 5 San Bernardino (California) to support the development of strong, adaptive and sustainable organizations that serve the 0 to 5 population. SEI will leverage our extensive experience with sustainability training and planning for over 50 First 5 funded agencies and initiatives in California to conduct this project. We will work with a group of First 5-funded organizations, selected through a structured RFA process. These agencies will participate in the Capacity Building Academy which will include organizational assessments, structured training, peer learning, coaching and tailored technical assistance. SEI will design curriculum, develop tools, provide training and technical assistance, and coach the agencies through organizational self assessments and sustainability planning.
