Sarah Yeats Patrick

sarah-yeats-iii Sarah Yeats Patrick joined the SEI team in 2007.

While at SEI, she provides administrative and research services to numerous organizations and agencies throughout Nevada and California. Sarah leads key stakeholder interviews, assists in writing project evaluation reports, and conducts research on behalf the First 5 Association of California’s Northwest Region and the Child Care Planning Council of Yuba and Sutter Counties.

She was also project lead for the Washoe County SOAR Program and the Nevada Rock Art Foundation, where she assisted with strategic planning, meeting facilitation and project support. Additionally, Sarah planned and coordinated the Nevada State Oral Health Program’s 2008 Summit and provides project support and meeting facilitation for the Nevada Public Education Foundation’s “Ready for Life” initiative. She has also provided evaluation support for First 5 Glenn and First 5 Lassen counties.

Prior to joining SEI, Sarah interned and worked for The Hartford insurance company for over five years. She was also a student assistant for the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) where she helped students prepare for their studies abroad by assisting with visa applications, conducting informational meetings, and updating the studies abroad curriculum.

Sarah is a native Nevadan, and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and a minor in music. She is currently in her last year of the master’s program for physical anthropology at the University of Nevada, Reno, and plans to graduate in May of 2011.

During her work in the masters program, Sarah has studied dental morphology and in 2008, co-authored “For Whom the Coin Tolls: Green Stained Teeth and Jaws in Medieval and Post-Medieval Spanish Burials” in Dental Anthropology. She is currently writing her thesis on the postcranial remains of Golovin and Nunivak islanders.

Sarah is also a member of the National Flute Association and the Dental Anthropology Association.
