Evaluation
We design and implement program evaluation frameworks for service providers and grantmakers that produce meaningful information while being cost effective even for small agencies with limited staff. Our broad experience across all organizational areas is especially beneficial here, as we are able to connect evaluation results to strategic planning, public relations, advocacy and other important matters in addition to the program management and grant reporting activities typically supported by evaluation efforts.
Evaluation Assessment
For organizations that already have an evaluation system in place, we conduct thorough and objective assessments to determine the extent to which the current evaluation system adheres to best practices in evaluation, identify strengths and opportunities for further improvement, and suggest practical ways to further enhance the evaluation system.
Evaluation Design
Clients that wish to manage their own evaluation process use us to design an effective evaluation framework and support them in implementing the framework. This can include any or all of the following: defining evaluation objectives, designing the overall model for evaluation, developing program logic models, designing data collection and analysis methods, designing reports and other ways to make full use of evaluation results, and preparing all of the procedures, data collection forms, report formats, staff training curricula and other materials needed to implement the evaluation framework.
Evaluation Implementation
We can also serve as independent evaluators to conduct ongoing evaluation activities in coordination with our clients’ staff. Our roles are tailored to the unique circumstances of each client but typically involve some combination of training and support for staff on evaluation activities, data analysis, preparation and presentation of evaluation results in a variety of formats, and ongoing refinement of all aspects of the evaluation framework.
